Winn Dixie holds food drive

Winn Dixie is holding their 13th annual food drive outside of Jacksonville Municipal Stadium today. The event outside of the stadium is one of the biggest food drives of the year for Winn Dixie.

This year, volunteers at each gate are trying to raise $1 from everyone attending the game. For each dollar raised, Winn Dixie can distribute $53 of food.

“We hope to raise between $50,000 and $60,000 this year,” said Gary Porter. “This year is good so far because some people donate $5 and $20 at a time; we also have more food donated than expected.”

Quinn Gray’s mother and grandmother are some of the players’ family members participating in the drive.
