End of the first half

At the end of the first half, the score is still:

Washington 23 Nease 7

Washington has 346 yards of total offense. Torrance Moise has thrown for 245 of those, the longest being 69 yards. Eduardo Clements has rushed for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 3 passes for 33 yards and 1 TD. On the defense, Johnathan Jackson has 2.5 sacks.

Nease still has fewer than 100 yard total offense. Stachitas has been sacked 5 times, and the longest play has been a 29-yard run by Matt Leighty. The defense hasn't sacked Torrance Moise at all, and they seemed to be unused to the incredibly fast Washington offense.

In general, Washington has shown themselves to be a faster, more athletic team than Nease.

Before the game began, I heard a fan say: "This is going to be a battle of the well coached team versus the athletic team." I wasn't sure exactly which team was which at the time, and I'm still not sure, because Washington seems to have both.
