As the first quarter winds to an end Boston College is only up by 7 points on the scoreboard but up by much more in the statistics. BC has had 24 plays including 10 first downs in the first quarter alone totaling 156-yards. The Hokies have had only 13 plays for 16-yards.
Rushing, BC has 9 rushes for 55 yards while VT has 7 rushes for -2 yards. Passing, BC has 101-yards while VT has 18.
Boston College interestingly though only scored on a defensive touchdown and has been unable to get into the endzone offensively. As the second quarter begins, BC is driving to a possible score.
