The Jaguars got so close but so far away in the end as the Colts are able to get a first down and run out the clock to victory 28-25.

I don't get it. Why not go for the onside kick? Even if you fail you still have the same opportunity as kicking deep (hold them to a 3 and out or the game is over). Bad move by Jack on an otherwise well coached game.
I'm sure that question will be asked in the press conference after the game but my guess is Del Rio had confidence in his defense to hold the Colts to three and out. A hold would have given them good field position for the field goal attempt.
Going for the onside kick on the other hand would have given Colts easy field position to get a field goal.
